Rafael Nadal and
Robin Soderling clashed Sunday for the 2010 French Open title. This was an epic encounter between the two most in shape clay court players of the season. French Open live coverage has never been better.
Robin Soderling is the only player ever who managed to defeat the Spaniard at the Roland Garros, during Nadal's six appearances at the Stade Roland Garros. The 25-year-old Swede played his 2nd consecutive Final, after defeating Roger Federer and Tomas Berdych on the way.
Rafael Nadal recovered the Roland Garros trophy. He wasn't playing only for the title today, but also for the top spot of the ATP rankings. Rafa won his 5th French Open Grand Slam out of 6 appearances. Nadal set one more record, he achieved the 'Clay Slam' which was completed by adding the Roland Garros success to his clay court Master Series hat-trick.
